-

The Debrecen Folk Dance Ensemble has announced its upcoming performance, which will be held on May 31 at 7 PM at the Bellaire United Methodist Church in Bellaire, Texas.

The Debrecen Folk Ensemble was founded in the spring of 1950, with the purpose of collecting and processing the Hungarian traditions, songs, and dances of the Great Plains. Today, every type of dance and its dialect can be found in the ensemble’s repertoire.

The ensemble can be proud of many things, amongst them are the title of “Eternally Excellent Ensemble”, the Ferenc Kölcsey and the Pro Urbe prizes, as well as the County Prima Award, which the Ensemble received in 2008.

The Hungarian folk-dance show will be suitable for both Hungarian and English-speaking audiences.
