EU Open House is an event that falls every year on the first Saturday after Europe day on May 9. European embassies in the United States celebrate this day by opening their doors to the public so that Americans can get to know the diverse cultures of Europe.
On this occasion, the Embassy of Hungary in Washington DC invites you to a day filled with Hungarian culture. On May 14, visitors will have the opportunity to taste some authentic Hungarian food, listen to folk music bands, meet Vizslas (a Hungarian breed of hunting dog) and more. As part of the folk music program, Szalonna és Bandája will showcase their expertise in Hungarian folklore.
