Registration for the 14th Csipke Folkdance and Folkmusic Camp is open!
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Tanchaz movement, Csipke Camp 2022 will bring together an outstanding line-up of Tanchaz musicians from North America and Hungary. Csipke’s house band will be the Gyanta Band, North America’s most popular Hungarian folk group, drawn from the vibrant Canadian-Hungarian communities of Ontario and Quebec.
Campers will have the opportunity to learn dances and music from the Transylvanian villages Nyárádselye and Feketelak. The dances will be thought by János Szűcs, Noémi Toka Szűcs, Fundák Kristóf and Fundák-Kaszai Lili, all of them are exceptionally gifted and knowledgeable dancers.
If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to visit the camp’s website, csipketabor.org, where you can find out more specific information about the program and registration.
